First published in 1947 and wonderfully illustrated by Warren Chappell, William McCleery’s Wolf Story is a delicious treat for fathers and sons and daughters and mothers alike.

Excellent format and delightfully amusing illustrations add to the pleasure of reading a new bedtime story invented by an imaginative father for his young son. Helped at moments by Michael and his friend Stefan, the story, which goes on at other than bedtime, has to do with a hen named Rainbow and a fierce wolf named Waldo.
