In the not too distant future, America has more senior citizens than young people, which has created a tax crisis. There are some who recommend that the elderly "transition" to death in order to make room for the young who will contribute to the tax base. Journalist Julia Davidson stands firmly in the "pro-transition" camp until she begins to investigate. VERDICT Dobson (founder, Focus on the Family; Bringing Up Boys) and Bruner (Finding God in The Lord of the Rings), have written a thought-provoking read. The idea that traditional families hold more worth than nontraditional families was a bit too heavy-handed for this reviewer, though. Still, this fast-paced thriller will find an audience with fans of Ted Dekker's suspense novels.
